TVNewser’s Merril Knox writes that MSNBC has suspended Alec Baldwin for two weeks because he said some nasty things to a Papparazi photographer, which Baldwin has a history of doing. Naturally, the PC police seized on what he said, aided and abetted by right wingers looking for some payback and certain cable news hosts looking to score points, and ran wild so MSNBC had no choice but to suspend him. I think it’s overkill but overreaction is what we do now in this day of tit for tat and no bad deed goes unpunished no matter how small and context is irrelevant.
